Chad Michael Murray seemed to be one of the big teen heart throbs a few years back.  Having success on the show One Tree Hill as Lucas Scott, it seemed Chad Michael Murray (or CM2 (CM-squared) as I liked to call him) was in the makings of being a movie star at least in some way shape of form.  Convinced he was destined for greatness CM2 checked himself out of Tree Hill and set his sights on a big movie career that hasn’t happened.  And thus, he ends up on this week’s Where are they Wednesdays.

CM2 of course made his outstanding appearance in the horrible movie, A Cinderella Story as Hillary Duff’s prince charming way back in 2003 and appeared alongside Paris Hilton in House of Wax back in 2005.  His run on One Tree Hill as a re-occuring character lasted until 2009, when they wrote him out of the show so he could pursue his acting career.  Since then, it seems CM2 has vanished from the CW back lot, but where he ended up at is a good question.

Murray’s departure from the CW show leaves some head scratching, as we find conflicting stories on why he left.  Murray says it was a cost cutting measure, while the show creators says he was offered a very generous offer to stay.  Perhaps Murray should have taken the money since he doesn’t seem to be raking in the high dough contracts he had hoped for.  Since he departed from TV, he made an appearance in an Alicia Keyes music video, before moving up (or down, or maybe even side stepping) by starring in two little known made for TV movies in 2010.

The first of these wonderful made for TV movies is a Lifetime Movie Network film called Lies in Plain Sight, where he plays the past boyfriend of a suicide victim.  If that wasn’t a compelling enough tale of mystery and intrigue for you, perhaps a ABC Family Channel Original movie called Christmas Cupid alongside some actresses whose repertoire includes direct to DVD sequels of Bring it on movies and of course guest spots on ABC family and CW shows.

I guess the important thing I can share with you all is that if you cared, Chad Michael Murray is still working.  Perhaps it is not in the capacity that he wants but he is working.  The bigger question is if the readers of this site really care what Chad Michael Murray is up to anyway?  If not, at least Google might index this and help make BoxOfficeBoredom.com one of the go to sites for “Where is Chad Michael Murray?” And then we can all be bombarded with tweens commenting away about how awesome he is in shorthand that us old people can barely comprehend.  ”wOnt dAt b sooooo awsme wn the tweens comMeNT lik dis?  CM2 is lik so supr kewl!”  -Nate Grenbeck- out!
