The Hot Chick

A Film Review By Michael Haley

Rating:PG-13 for language and crude sexual humor, not to mention HOT CHICKS!!
Starring: Rob Schneider, Rachel McAdams, Anna Faris, Matthew Lawrence.
Directed By:Tom Brady

Final Grade:

Although I liked this movie, even I gotta admit it was pretty pointless, so I won’t subject you to the torture of reading my usual 1000 word review, and will give you instead the short take of it.

Rachel McAdams plays a really hot chick who also happens to be really mean to those who aren’t as hot as her. Than one day she stumbles across magic earrings, and because they look so pretty, she steals them from a sorcerer lady’s store. Meanwhile, there’s a mean man named Clive running around the city (Schneider) stealing money and nacho cheese from convenience stores. He gets ahold of one of the rings, and voila! The hot chick gets Rob Schneider’s body and vice versa. Her friends soon accept her for who she (or he) is, but only after they get a sneak peek at the package. However, they have to find the other earring before the full moon or something so he/she can change back, but not before going to the Prom with Anna Faris, who also happens to be hot. HOT!! AND SHE’S A CHICK TOO!!!

This movie is stupid and ridiculous, but in all the right ways. The jokes aren’t high brow or anything, but the vulgarity works this time around. Such as Adam Sandler’s pot fascination…come on man, THAT’S FUNNY!! AND THE CHICKS ARE HOTT!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean yeah they are gifted comedic actresses who pull off the material well, especially Anna Faris (although I like these dumb comedies, it’d be wonderful to see in a more demanding role) but the simple fact remains that these are chicks and they are very hot. Me likee very much. Rob Schneider pulls off the chick routine well, and for a chick, he don’t make a very bad chick. And some women, although I don’t know who except maybe Masha, would say he’s HOT TOO!!

The movie isn’t great, but what is these days? Highly recommended.

Okay, normal Michael here, and I stand by the preceding text although I might have phrased it differently. The movie is a lot of fun, and although I really can’t think of any way to write about it for an extended period of time, I’m going to recommend it anyway. Despite the nastiness of the girls at the beginning of the film, the film doesn’t have a mean bone in its body, and even when it resorts to cheesy messages about love and respect for all, its done with sincerity and even I got suckered by it. This is one of those sink or swim films that usually sinks (Duece Bigalow), but this time swims. I can’t help it, this movie is a guilty pleasure that I can’t justify with any solid reasons but will do anyway. And yes the chicks are hot, although I gotta pass on Rob Schneider.
